Our Holiday...

Norfolk Broads

Hi everyone, I hope you have all been keeping well. Since my last entry things have been a bit hectic one way or another, i think it's because i'm getting older and i'm finding it harder to cope with thing's that was so easy for me before...I felt shattered, tired, fatigued and in pain every day while we were away and its taken me over a week to get back to normal. I cooked dinner most days as it's so expensive to eat out. After i had tidied up and put away the dishes, i had to lay down for half hour and rest before we went anywhere and i had to find somewhere to sit every so often as my head,neck,spine, legs, hands and feet were hurting and i could hardly put one foot in front of the other or think straight. How i got through this holiday with all my aches and pains, i don't know! And what with the stress with "A" added to this. Every day i think of "A". I suppose thats the curse of being a mother. I try not to think of him, but its so hard not to worry about him.

Saturday 23 August, "?" "ST" "Z" and myself set off for our holiday at Parks Resorts, Breydonwater Gt Yarmouth which is situated in the country on the Norfolk Broads. I am so glad i bought a SAT NAV, because we would never had found our destination and it was most useful for all the other places we visited as we did'nt know our way around. The weather was'nt too bad, although it could have been better and we were pleased that it was warm and sunny at times and the rain stayed away while we were out and about, i think it rained a couple of times during the nights.

We went to Gorlestone beach and into Gt Yarmouth a couple of times and Hemsby amusements. Thrigby Hall Wildlife Garden and Yarmouth Greyhound Stadium

Saturday we arrived too early, so we made our way into Gorleston where we had something to eat and drink, then we wandered around a bit before we went to find a supermarket to get our shopping so we did'nt have to leave the caravan site for the rest of the day, then we made our way back to the site so i could collect our keys. When we got inside the caravan, i had to do some cleaning before i could use anything. Eventually i got to make the beds. After i had rested for a while, we all went to the amusement arcade on the site for half hour and there was some kind of show going on in the show bar, we glanced inside, but we did'nt stay as we were too tired, we then made our way back to the caravan where we all played cards before retiring for the night.

Sunday morning we went to Wroxham and hired a boat for an hour ( longer than that would have got boring as it has done on previous occations) Once "?" had manouvered the boat from its mooring "ST" steered it all the time which he enjoyed, we all sat and took in the beautiful views of the broads and the houses along the river which are so lovely. On our return to Wroxham moorings "?" had to manouver the boat back to it's mooring. It was difficult to get out of the boat and i managed to twisted my ankle (OUCH) The only trouble with the boat was it shook my bones up and "?" too! and of course i had twisted my ankle, other than that we were ok...ha! ha! ha!

Monday after dinner, we went to Gt.Yarmouth. "ST" and "Z" played mini Golf while "?" and i sat and watched, then they went on the trampolene and we ended up in the amusement arcades before we made our way back to the caravan. Later, i took "Z" swimming. In the evening we went in the arcade on site and wandered around for a while.

Tuesday we went to Gorlestone beach. "Z" went on a couple of amusement rides and in the paddling pool with all her clothes on. It was warm enough to dry the clothes off as she walked about. When we returned, i took "Z" swimming again and i sat and chatted to a couple of people. In the evening we went to Hemsby amusements and arcades

Wednesday we all went to Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens in the afternoon which was nice, the kids enjoyed themselves and the animals and gardens are so beautiful, but i did'nt like to see the animals in cages and i can understand why these activists go off about it. I took"Z" to the swimming pool on our site when we returned from our outing. I sat by the side of the pool and watched her and chatted to a couple of people doing the same as i, "Z" made a few friends at the pool and on the site, "ST" did'nt want to go swimming so he stayed in the caravan with "?". Wednesday evening we went to Yarmouth Greyhound Stadium, we only stayed for three races and came home as there was'nt anywhere to sit and the place was absolutely packed. We did'nt get to go to the horse track at all.

Thursday morning we went to Gt Yarmouth Pleasure Beach (pier) where "ST" and "Z" went on the amusements and rides. Then we wandered along the promenade and had our dinner out before we returned to our caravan. "?" and i had decided to come home. When we returned to our caravan, had a rest before we gathered our belongings together and left for home around 4pm Thursday afternoon and arrived home around 8.45pm as we had plenty of rests along the way. We were supposed to have stayed untill Saturday 30 August. We took "Z" home, "ST" wanted to stay over, so he stayed the night and "?" left around 9.30pm. I was so pleased to be home and get to my own bed.

I got phone call from "A" on his birthday 5 August. He phoned me before he went to work within the prison. He has an engineering job mending tools and machinery. I had already sent him a birthday card. He was telling me theat he had been in court a couple of times during my hoilday and hes got two years and is waiting to go to court again in October. (I think the police want him away for a long time and this is the only way for them to get him a longer sentence as his offences are not being dealth with in one.) He thinks he will be away 3-5 years, but hes not sure yet untill he goes to court in October. God knows what hes been doing.

Saturday 6 August. This morning i received a letter from "A". "ST" was'nt here at all, he had gone to a family wedding. It was "L" sister getting married. "L" and "J" were bridesmaids and "ST" wore top and tails the same as did all the men. I phoned "L" this evening to see how everything went. She said, it was really lovely and told me all about it. The wedding was held inside a Hotel. And later with a sit down set meal. All close members of her family had rooms in the Hotel, so they did'nt have far to go once it was all over.

Looking Forward...

The last couple of weeks have been quite, but my thoughts have been working overtime wondering whats happening with "A" even though i've calmed down quite a lot... I hav'nt heard from "A" at all.

My daughter "SH" and "Z" went to "ASH" for the weekend 25/7/08 at Maldon in Essex

"L", "ST" and "J" went on their holiday to Caister,GtYarmouth 26/7/08 for one week. They had lovely weather and they all enjoyed themselves.

Friday 1/8/08 "?" came in looking all dapper in his suit, he was going to a funeral after he left i went to pick-up my new glasses from the opticians. I am really pleased with these ones, they are so comfortable.

Saturday 2/8/08. "SH" and "Z" came by on their way to the park close by where i live as there was a community party going on in the park. They were gone for an hour then returned. "Z" had her face painted as a Tiger...lollol. They stayed for half hour then left. A bit later, "L" phoned and asked me to look after "ST and "J" for the night, i said yes. When they came round later, "L" looked all relaxed after her hols. She said, there was a letter waiting for her from "A" when she returned home from her hols. ( he won't leave her alone) The kids stayed over night and they were playing P/S2 games which kept them busy all the evening... Sunday, we all had dinner and the kids were good all day too ( they always are) It made a change to have them stay over, which they hav'nt done so for a long time.

"?" and i have still had our aches and pains, but i'm not going to go on about them, because it gets me down just thinking about it.

Wednesday 6/8/08. I went to have my hair cut and restyled. I am quite pleased with the way the hairdresser has cut my hair, its the best its been for quite some time.

Thursday 7/8/08. I saw my next door neighbor "I" and i first thought was the "T" had punched her in the eye or something, but she told me that they had a head-on car accident Friday 1/8/08 on their way home from bingo and the driver of the other car had got out and ran off. "I","T" and "J" their daughter wa rushed to hospital "I" was unconsious and was rushed into resuss. "T" and "J" was'nt too bad, but bad enough and badly bruised. I am pleased they're all ok. "J" is the mother of the primature baby who had the opperations for her bowel and who i had written about before... I honestly thought they had all gone away for a weeks holiday.

I went to the chemist to pick up my prescription yesterday, but it seems that i was'nt issued with Simvastatin for my colesterol and i had to order some more which will be ready next Thursday. I hav'nt had any since Thursday just gone. I was wondering if it was ok to wait untill next Thursday and would there be side effects for not taking them.

Yesterday, "ST" and "Z" was here for the day. They were planning where they want to go and what to do on holiday which is in two weeks time now. It will be nice to get away from here for a week and get some normality back into our lives and look forward...

Today, has been quite. "?" came in for an hour this morning then left and i got a couple of chores done. I've still got a couple more chores to do before "?" returns later, so i will leave it here and go and get them done. Best Wishes to one and all...Be Happy!

I think the reason why "A"said he would rather be in prison is because he was in a rage and he was drunk at the time and its a way of getting away from his responsibilities ( would'nt we all) which he has done all this before and he is where he should be for the things that we do know that hes done, of course, we don't know everything he has done and we will never get the real truth, but over the years he has got worse and life has been hell each time he has come out of prison. I think prison has made him worser than before, prison does not deters him, plus hes mixing with the scum of the earth inside and he has become like them. For what i have seen when i had visited other times over the years is they've all got it too cushy inside, yes! they've all lost their liberty, but wheres the punishment too deter offenders of their crimes and to deter them from going back inside. If there was a punishment to fit each crime maybe these people would think twice before they offend again. I think they get too many visits to start with and i think they should'nt be allowed to use the phone at all or write or receive letters or money sent in to them. Prison should mean prison with ALL privileges taken away.

I'm sorry for going on so much, but i do feel strongly about all this.

Trouble On Top Of Trouble

Saturday, "L" she is "A" ex-partner has taken the two kids "ST" and "J" on holiday at Gt.Yarmouth for a week, i hope the weather holds for them and they have a lovely time. Friday, i had my eyes tested and for diabetes. The diabetes is clear in my eyes, but my lenses need changing, so with the new lens i've picked a new pair of frames which will collect roughly next Friday or the following Monday. My hubby "?" has been feeling bad this last week due to "A" situation, "?" feel wild with him as i do too and we are both tired of his actions. Saturday, i was almost mugged at the cashpoint. A man lent over my shoulder and i told him to go away, then he done it again and i got nasty with him and swore at him and elbowed him hard in the chest, i think i must have hurt him, he then went way. The lady behind me said he was trying to tell me the machine was'nt working and she lent over to press the clear button and i grabbed my card quickly and i went inside the bank to get my money and i mentioned it to the cashier, she then told me there was a man and a woman trying to fleece people at the cashpoints and have already tried mug a couple of people too at other cashpoints along the street. When i came out of the bank, the man in the shop next door had phoned the police about what these people and told them what they were doing. The couple were black african type people. Friday night was so hot i had to have the fan on most of the night and i could'nt sleep.Yesterday Saturday, was quite.After dinner "?" watched TV in the lounge and went to my room and sat near my fan as it was too hot for me and the air was thin, i've doubled up on my medication for the Asthma."?" left around 5pm and i settled to watch TV for the evening with my fan on full blast. We're never happy are we? If its hot we moan and if its cold we moan. Today has been quite so far. "?" came by this morning and will return later as normal for an hour. I've got a couple of chores done, not much as its too hot to move about. I rang aunt "D" this morning, she is'nt too well in herself and finding it too hot for her liking too...as i said, we're never happy with the weather. I will leave it to later when it is cooler to do some more chores. This year so far has been nothing but trouble after trouble.I can't wait to get away for my holiday, still its only a couple of weeks to go now and i certainly need a rest from this mess and hopefully clear the cobwebs from my mind. No-one can say i do'nt have an eventful life and i don't have to go outside my door. My daughter "SH" has just phoned to let me know that "A" phoned a little while ago, he said he is in Pentonville and has to appear in court this Tuesday and was told he is looking at 3 years for taking off the TAG and absconding...I have no more words to say on this subject at present except as i have said before, i feel indifferent. At least now we can all rest for the time he will be away and i'm sorry if it sounds harsh, but he does need prison as hes a menace to society. Life As It Is...

While "?" was away for 1 week, i got a few chores done at my liesure and relaxed alot and listened to my CDs, reading my book "CRACKDOWN" the anxiousness had left me and i felt so at ease with myself, i had no-one to tell me what to do and no-one came round or phoned me except "?" i was in a world of my own. He phoned me three times to see if i was ok and to let me know where and what he was doing or done. Solitude was what i wanted and Solitude was what i got. I've now finishe the above book and started on another book called "LOST IN THE HIMALAYERS", its about a trekker.

"?" returned  the 4th July. He was telling me all about his holiday in Dorset and the marvelous views and places he had seen.

"ST" came round on the Saturday. "?" and "ST" chatted for quite sometime. In the afternoon "A" came by to collect "ST" as they were going to Southend "J".  "A" waved to me and said hello from the car "A"did'nt come in i waved back. "?" wasn't too happy with me for acknowledging him though and "?" said a few words to me about it which made me feel bad for the rest of the day and evening. I don't know how this situation with "A" and "?" will end up. "SH" phoned me in the evening to tell me that "Z" has to wear glasses as she is short sighted ( like me and "SH" )

I booked my appointment at the hairdressers to have my hair re-styled in three weeks time so that its done for my holiday inAugust.

Last Wednesday, i went along to the GP for a new prescription for my Asthma which has'nt been too bad lately thank-goodness! I've been really lucky these last few of years with not going to and fro to the hospital for medical attention. I started taking Spiriva inhalation powder again because the pollen has been so high lately and i started to feel wheezy at times. I'm ok now that i'm back on my meds. I try not to have them all the time, because i might need them more so in the future. I've been rather stressed out with worry this last week what with one thing or another

I've been having problems with my computer, it keeps freezing and i've had to close down quite a lot lately, which is getting on my nerves.

"SH" phoned me yesterday, to let me know that "A" had been arrested on Monday and has been refused bail when he appeared in court yesterday and he was sent to Birmingham on remand untill 16th August. I hav'nt heard from "A" at all...No-one will be able to visit him there ( personally, i think the prisons are too flippin' easy going and there should be some kind of hard labour introduced to fit the crimes, then maybe, people would think twice about doing wrong. And i think hanging should be brought back for the really bad crimes that we hear of daily )

"L" is taking "ST" and "J" to Gt.Yarmouth Saturday week the 26th for 1 weeks holiday. I hope the weather will be ok for them.

I got a letter from my server SKY and it seems they are going to put the cost of my subsciption up in September, so i'm not sure what to do as yet, whether to stay or go else where.

Well, that all my news of late. I'm going to watch Lewis now on ITV3...All my Best Wishes to one and all and Take Care!
