My Visit To Aunt "D"

There are no graphics or tags on this entry, I don't seem to be able to put them in for some reason. I am also having problems leaving comments in journals...

Sunday 25/2/07.

This morning "?" took me to visit aunt "D" and he left me there for the day. When i went in she was sitting a the table in her wheelchair writting a letter to my cousin "F" in Canada. I noticed that she was looking tired and fragile and it looked like she had lost quite a bit of weight since i last see her, she used to be a tubby lady. I sat down at the table with her and we had a lengthy chat. She was telling me that she will get her results from the MRI scan she had done recently on her kidney's and pelvis when she goes along to the clinic 21/3/07. I asked her if she had seen or heard from anyone, she said, family members have been phoning, but she has only had her carers visiting and her friend  little "D" (as i call her) came last Thursday and no-one else has been by since my cousin "J" and i last visited her in December on the same day.

Aunt "D" also said, her boiler was'nt working and she's got no heating. The Gas board came this morning as emergency, but they can't do anything untill Tuesday, because they had to order the part. She's got an electric fire, but can't use it as she can't turn it on or off herself, because of her disablement. She has been keeping herself warm with blankets.

Later, i cooked dinner for the both of us, washed up and done a couple of chores that i normally do for her. Then we chatted some more and watched a DVD film Yanks with Richard Gere...one of my favs!

The time went by so fast. Aunt "D" said she had enjoyed our day together and i said, i did too! We really did have a good day. "?" came to pick me up around 6.40pm. to take me home.

Once indoors, we had a cup of tea and a chat and when "?" left around 7.15pm, i rested for a while with the lights down low, i felt very tired.  Later, i came online to read some journals, but only got through 2 and had to close down as i felt too tired, then settled down for the night. 

Monday 26/2/07.

This morning when "?" came in we went to the shop and i bought my extension lead for my computer and "?" fixed it on the wall for me so all the wires are out of the way, so now i can plug my speakers in...have got sound again!

Later, "?" had to take his car for an MOT this afternoon, so i went with him for the ride. While we were waiting for the car, we browsed in a couple of shops near by and went in a cafe for a cupper and stayed there untill it was time to collect the car. The car had passed the MOT...thank goodness! Then we came back home and "?" left around 6pm.

I wrote a letter to my cousin "F" in Canada tonight, i must'nt forget to post it tomorrow. I still can't email her, it just won't go through. why...i don't know!

Busy week

  

This week i have been busy sorting out a few probs and a few phone calls which i think will now be ok.

 

My alerts are still in HTML, but i can now see who and which alerts they are, now that i've looked at them properly. I've also been busy online searching for journals and websites that i had in my AOL fav's list. I have found a few of them and saved them. I can't use my speakers at the moment, because i need to get another adapter. I might get some head-phones too! I do miss listening to the music online. I do'nt think i can add music to my journal as i did before. I have been trying to suss it out, but i think i will have to have AOL as my homepage for that, not sure though! I put an advert in Morrisons shop last week for a house exchange, but when i looked on the message board it had been taken out. I had only one phone call from this advert which i was'nt interesed in. They had rang me before last year when i advertised then. I suspect these people have taken the advert out themselves, because these same people rang me last year and the very same thing happened then. I already asked the lady in customer services and she said they only take them out when the date is up.

Yesterday, my neck was hurting  and i had a severe pounding presure pain in my head more like explosive and unbearable when i spoke excitedly or when i laughed, my eyes were hurting too! I rested for a while in the dark and it eased away by evening ( this is not migrain )...I think this could be ACM!

I phoned aunt "D" last night to let her know that i will be round to visit her this Sunday, she seemed pleased that i was going there. She has'nt been to well of late, i will know more when i visit her. 

"?" has'nt been too well this week with his ongoing health probs. He has been keeping himself busy to keep his mind off himself pottering about fixing this and that around the house and garden, but he has had a few minor accidents, which has beenhappening a lot lately.  "?" has got his appointment for the Neurologist at the hospital this Wednesday 28th to see the consultant. He has been waiting since November last year, but when he went along to the GP. He sent another letter to the Hospital. 

"ST" will be here tomorrow for the day, i don't know if "Z" will be here at all yet. "ST" has'nt been staying over the last few weeks.

OMG! Surprise...

 

Last night i turned on my alerts, but when i receive them they are in HTML format and i can't understand any of it or who's journals they are, so i will be turning off my alerts again and i will have to visit your journals at random.

My daughter surprised me last night when she phoned she said, shut up and listen and i've got no say in anything ( well... i thought i had done or said something i should'nt have...lol.) she said, her and my son "A" are taking me out for my 60th birthday in April and wanted to know where i wanted to go or do. They are thinking of taking me for a meal or something at a restuarant, i've never been to a restuarant before, i'm a bag of chips person...lol. and i've never had this kind of attention before either. Mind you i am looking forward to it though what ever they decide to do!   Today, i got a few bits done around the house, then got dinner on the go, came online to browse while dinner was cooking, watched some TV and came back online...

I'm back!!!

Hi everyone i'm back...

I am so pleased to be back online, it has taken me so long to get round to contacting my J/Land friends and i still have so many to visit. I had an email from RACH and Kathy-ASTORIASAND, but i have had trouble sending emails out, it keeps freezing on me so i abandoned the task, hopefully i will get round to sending some soon. I've also been hav'ing probs finding my way around and getting cut off and had to login again, i hav'nt mastered that bit yet, which gets on my nerves plus i forgot my user name and password, i wrote them down and even forgot where i wrote them, but found them in the end...what am i like aye!

 

I know some of you think AOL is a pain at times and you might be thinking of leaving, i would think twice before you do so. My new server is Sky and so far i don't think much of them. I think AOL is different class. Sky is Quantity and Aol is Quality... I find Sky a lot slower than AOL and freezes while changing pages longer than AOL. I have got 1 years contract with them and once that is up 12 Feb 2008. then i will be coming back to AOL for sure!

 

 

The reason why i changed over was i had a couple of financial probs which was sorted out within a week from leaving AOL thank goodness, plus ? wanted Sky TV so he could watch "At the Races". other than that, myself i have no interest in Sky TV only the broadband.  

 

I got a couple of emails from my J/Land friends the other day, but i was unable to reply to them, because i got froze out...PROBS ALREADY. and all pics have to be in attachments which i don't like ( no fun...lol. ) and i can't find any Blogs/Journals on Sky either, but i did find a couple of outside servers with blogs. A new Yahoo! blog, Blogger and of course this one AOL. And if i had known i could have carried on with "astras journal" still never mind aye!
