My Appointment With The Neurologist...

 Tuesday 31/7/07...

This morning i was up at 7am. I had a restless night tossing and turning. "?" came in at 8:30am he was a lot better than he was yesterday. I tided round this morning, then got myself ready for my appointment with the neurologist. When i got to the neurology clinic, it was absolutely crowded and no seats and i was pleased that i did'nt have long to wait before i was my turn.

It was 3pm when i got to see Dr.Chaudhuri. He asked me some questions, but i could'nt get my words out and kept stuttering everytime i opened my mouth, so i gave him my notes that i had of the symptoms that i'm receiving. ( my manuscript...lol ) He read what i had written and i answered his questions then he done some examinations. I mentioned a couple of things that i had written down and he said he already knows whats happening to me from the MRI scan i had done last year and he said he's not going to opperate as it is a complicated opperation, but will try with medication to help with the pain i'm receiving from ACM. He gave me some tranquilsers, but in a small dose it acts as a pain killer and said i can be refered back to him again at a later date. He is also sending me for physio as he thinks it might be of some help to me and i've to have a full blood count test and one for Thyroids, which i can have done round my local clinic...I don't know what the medication is called as i could'nt read the writting.

As i came out of the Neuro clinic, i took my prescription over to phamacy. After waiting half hour, i went up to the counter and asked how long will i have to wait, the girl said another hour and a half. I said i would pick it up another day as ithad gone 4:30pm when i came out of the hospital. I will wait untill my GP gets a letter from the hospital and get my prescription from him.

To be honest i still feel in the dark about this Arnold Chiari Malformation condition, because still nothing was explained to me. I only know what you have told me about Chiari Missie and what i have read online for myself.

All the symptoms i'm receiving for this condition are in my Health Journal which you will find on my side bar...it is the very first entry. I had no idea at all what was wrong with me at first, infact i thought i was going crazy or something as i was told it was all in my mind and i was fobbed off by my GP for a long time before i had some heated words with him to send me to the hosptal. I think it was about 3 years ago now when i was first refered to the neurologist and i had to wait 1 year for my first appointment.

After "?" had left at 6:30pm i phoned "L" she said, "ST" is coming round tomorrow. Then "SH" phoned me around 7:30pm, she said she had to take "Z" to the Drs today as she had an upset stomache and was in pain, she has got an infection in her stomache and has got anibiotics for it...

Well, i have managed to add a few more graphics, maybe it was due to me having no security for a while??? thats all my news for now, so best wishes to you all and have a great week...

Friday 27/7/07...

Today i had the run around trying to find out about a referral appointment for "?" and got no-where so, i rang the consultants secretary and told her i'm getting the run around over this appointment that no-one knows anything about and she is going to speak to the consultant about it Monday and will get back to me Tuesday. Someone along the line is'nt doing their job.

Saturday 28/7/07...

"?" came in about 7:15am this morning and he took me to the shop at 8am to get a few bits for the weekend as "ST" will be here. later around 11:30am we went to pick "ST" up for the day, we were a bit late today picking him up. While i was waiting for "ST" to get ready "L" and "J" were telling me about where they went yesterday for the day. They all went Rochester  again in Kent where they went to see Dickens last Tuesday with "L" mum and dad, they looked around a battle ship and submarine. "L" said it was very small and claustrophobic inside and the steps were very steep. "ST" has got a lot of interest in secret societies and bought a book on the freemasons while he was there.

Over the last few weeks "ST" has been writting a lot which i've mentioned before in the last entry, mostly all about the first and second world wars,the Vietnam and falkland wars.

When we got home "ST" and "?" chatted for awhile. After dinner "?" watched TV in the lounge while "ST" and i went to my room, "ST" went online to play his Runescape Game and i watched TV. The day was quite and "ST" decided to stay over, so i text "L" to let her know.

Later after "?" had left at PM. "ST" went online and i again watched TV for the evening.

Sunday 29/7/07...

I weighed myself today and have lost 3lbs since last Sunday, well its a start ( again ) i'm in the right frame of mind this time. "?" came in for an hour then left. After i gave "ST" his breakfast i got the dinner on the go and a couple of chores done.

After dinner "ST" was writing most of the time and looking things up online. My afternoon was quite. "?" came in around 5:15pm. Then we took "ST" home came back and had a chat "?" left at 9pm and i settled to watch TV for the rest of the evening.

Monday 30/7/07...

Not much has happened today to talk about, in fact its been quite. I do'nt always know when or i should say if i can get online while the kids are on their hols as they will be coming round on and off over the hols and i won't get a look in as ussual...lol "?" and i hope to take the kids out some days if the weather permits and we are feeling ok in ourselves...TUT, a lot of ifs...

I'm going to see the Neurologist tomorrow about the pains in my head and stuttering...ect!  I've written down all that i need to tell him...God knows what he will think, it looks like a manuscript...lol.

Sunday 22/7/07...

"?" came in for an hour then left,i then got on with a few light chores. I then went online for a while and had my dinner around 2:30pm.I then got a couple of more light chores done in the bedrooms and back online i went. "?" came in for an hour later, i then went back online for a short while then settled down to watch TV for the evening.

Monday 23/7/07...

"?" took me along to the Drs surgery to get my colesterol results which read 6.7 My GP put me on Simvastatin tabs and Metformin tabs for Diabetes. We then went to pick "ST" up, he is staying over 'till tomorrow.

"ST" has been writting all day and looking things up online, he has been keeping himself busy writting most of the time. This evening, "ST" was online while i watched TV...

"?" has been feeling very tired and fatigued, he was still like it when he left at 6pm. 

Tuesday 24/7/07...

This morning, we left "ST" indoors watching TV while "?" took me along to the chiropodist to get my feet sorted, my next appoinment is in 3 months time. On our way home we went to pick "Z" up as she is staying over 'till Thursday, because, "SH" is going to a funeral. When we got home "ST" was on the computer playing his Runescape game.During the day "ST" and "Z" had their moments tormenting each other. Later, we took "ST" home and dropped off at the sweet shop to get "Z" sweets she wanted. After "?" had left at 6:15pm we settled down to watch a DVD film. "Z" wanted to watch Night At The Musium. Once she had dropped off to sleep, i then went online for a short while.

Wednesday 25/7/07...

This morning "?" went along to see the nurse at the heart clinic at the Drs surgery. "?" told her what had been happening to him and the bad turns hes had, she said it sounds like angina attacks hes receiving and has refered him to the GP. She told him to call an ambulance if he gets any more of these episodes...

"A" came by today, he's still getting Hiatus Hernia pains. He went to the hospital the other evening, but came away as it was crowded in there. One day the pains will come on him and he will find himself in serious trouble through his own neglect. He thinks himself invincible.

"?" left around 6:30pm and i settled to watch some TV and went online for half hour.

Thursday 26/7/07...

Last night "Z" was all arms and legs as ussual ( she always sleeps in with me when sh's here ) and i got little sleep.

This morning we took "Z" home and on the way back we picked "ST" for the day. We all had a pleasant day. After dinner, "ST" went online to make notes and doing his writting, while i was showing "?" how to write text messages and send on his mobile phone. I think he's got the hang of it now...I think!

"L" came by to pick "ST" up as they were all going to the cinema this evening to see Harry Potter and tomorrow "Ls" mum and dad are taking "ST" and "J" out for the day.

The last few days i have been without security on my computer as it had expired and was unable to re-install McAfee. After a bit of aggrevation, i have now GOT McAfee re-installed again this evening and all is ok now!

Well, thats my news for the week and i hope your all having a good week and i will bid you all a great weekend...I have added one graphic, i don't know if it will save or not, if it does i won't add any more as i had probs before saving entries and i think the problem is graphics...Nite! Quite Time Over...

Thursday 19/7/07... To begin with, all last weeks entries i had to put on Astras Space, because i was'nt able to add piccies,copy and paste or even save, so if you want to read it just click on Astras Space or go to my side bar and enter there...Why this has happened, i don't know!!!  I won't be adding any piccies on here, i have copied this from my private journal. I hope it will save... I have managed to add some new pics in my side bar.

Today has been quite and i got a couple of chores done to keep myself busy. "?" has been away for the week and is due back tomorrow. He rang me about 9:15pm this evening to say he will be back tomorrow... sigh!!! my quite time is over...

Friday 20/7/07... Last night i tried to put my computer in recovery mode, but without any success. I think i will have to suss this out some more... I can't even mess my computer up properly...lol.

My daughter "SH" rang this morning, she is going to her friends Nans funeral on Tuesday and asked me to have "Z" Tuesday untill Wednesday, i said ok! While she was on the phone she said she was packing to go to her friends"ASH" who i've mentioned before in earlier entries, she's the one who lives at Maldern in Essex which is'nt too far away. "SH" and "Z" will be leaving when "Z" finishes school today. They will be going to meet "ASH" from work in the city ( ASH is a solicitor ) then they will go home with her untill Monday and on Tuesday they will drop "Z" off here and they will both be going to the funeral.

"SH" was telling me Wednesday last, "ASH" stayed over and they were all having breakfast and the patio doors were open and in hops a frog and "Z" screamed blue murder, "ASH" and "SH" were traumatised...lol. Anyway "SH" was falling about with laughter and trying to hush the frog out. I would have been in stitches at their antics if i were there.

The weather is damp,grey and miserable today. "?" will be back sometime today. I got a couple of chores done and to my surprise "?" came in earlier than i had anticipated at 11am. He had left Devon at 4:30am this morning, he said it rained all the way home and in some places it was flooded, but managed to get through ok. I think he brought the rain with him as it poured down around mid-day, the road outside was flooded and we could'nt see the pavement at all, but it soon drained away.

I ordered one of those satalite navigation systems a sony make. "?" and i chatted about different things and he was telling me about his week in Devon. He said he felt ill and anxious and had'nt been to bed for a week, he sat in the chair all night. I must say he does look so tired out. I don't think the holiday done him any good at all. He rested most of the day and left about 9:15pm. then i went online for a while to look at a couple of things.

Saturday 21/7/07... This morning "?" came in about 7:15am. He took me shopping as soon as the shop opened at 8am. While i was in there i bought "ST" the new Harry Potter book that he wanted.

About 10:30am we went to pick "ST" up as we approached the Heathway the traffic had bee diverted and we had to go the long way round over Dagenham East station and came back our usual way over Dagenham Heathway station. On my side bar you will see a piccy of the Heathway hill and what it will look like when its all finished. I live on the other side of the hill.

Around mid-day "?" took me to the shop to get a few things and to pick up a prescription from the chemist.

I'm thinking of getting one of those organiser gadgets. PDF or something like that so i can organise my catologues orders/returns ect... The catologues are for my own use only and i'm always searching for papers and want to make things simple for myself. I don't know the real name for this organiser gadget.

"ST" was pleased with his Harry Potter book. After dinner "?" watched the horse racing on TV, while "ST" and i went to my room. He went online and i watched TV.

Later about 5pm. "A" came by to pick "ST" up to take him home. He was in a lot of pain with his Hiatus Hernia and had'nt eaten for a couple of days and was in an agitated mood. We said he should go to the hospital, but he said no,because he did'nt want to wait for 3 hours before he gets seen too.

I hav'nt done my blood sugars today. I will do it tomorrow. I've been trying to lower my blood sugar, but i'm not doingvery well at all. I feel anxious about my weight and blood sugars and i'm sure my colestoral blood test is going to be sky high too! I will get the result of the latter this week when i see my GP. I feel like i'm fighting a losing battle. I really do want to get on track to solving my health probs or face the consequencies and i really don't want that option at all. I feel like i can't keep my concentration on what i need to do.

"A" phoned  at 9:15pm. He went to the emergency DR surgery and they told him to go staight to the A&E and thats where he has gone

Outing At Southend-On-Sea

Tuesday 10/7/07...This morning "?" and i went to pick "ST" up for the day. While we were there "L" told us she had been to sign the form for transfering "ST" school and now has to wait to see if there is a position for him at a school in this area, so now its just a matter of waiting for an answer.

When we left "L" we all set off for Southend-On-Sea for a few hours. The roads were clear and we arrived just after midday.

We first stopped for dinner, then "ST" wanted to go in the arcades on the machines for a while, then we strolled along a bit further along to the pier, stopping and starting a lot as i'm so slow, we were going to go on the train to the end of the pier, but we had to wait half hour, so we gave that a miss as we did'nt have that much time to spend in Southend, maybe next time when we take "Z" and "J" with us and we go earlier in the day in the school summer hols.

Later, we stolled along the prom, sat down to watch the people on the rides in Peter Pans Corner for a while then we strolled some more got our ice-creams and sat down to take in the fresh air and ate our ice-creams. It was so relaxing and the weather was good for us too.

We made our way back towards where we had parked the car outside one of the Arcades and we went inside on the machines for about 15 mins untill it was time for us to go home. We left at 3:15pm.

On the way home the traffic was clear once again. "?" and i were hurting and tired and so was "ST". We all had a pleasant afternoon.

Wednesday 11/7/07... This morning "?" "ST" and i went to the Heathway to buy a few bits in Wilkinsons. We were to go out this afternoon, but "?" and i were hurting too much to do anything after yesterday, so we did'nt go anywhere. "ST" was writting most of the day, then went to play his X-Box untill we took him home around 5pm. Then "?" left at 6:30pm. I tidied round a bit, then settled to watch TV before going online.

I was online for a while last night and was only able to read one journal before "ST" decided to come back online and i settled down for the night to watch TV. "ST" has been here most of the time, so i hav'nt had much time to be online myself. I should be able to catch up on reading some journals next week as "?" won't be around for the week. I'm off now to watch some TV and i wish you all a good night and Best wishes to one and all...

I received an email from Kathy ASTORIASAND and she sent me this logo and siggy tag below. I did'nt know about this going around J/Land. I love reading her journal, because everything she writes is in rhyme which gives her journal a certain edge and interest.

I remember when i first came across Kathy's journal, she was about to give up on writting as she did'nt get many people visiting her, so i pimped her journal on mine and just look at her now, she has more visitors than i do...lol. We have often emailed each other and i value her friendship...

 

 

My Week

I hope you've all had a good week and this week will be good for you too! I've only been online once this week, i tried a couple of time to conect, but i kept getting blank screen, i think it must have been my server Sky having probs.

 2/7/07... This morning i went for my appoinment with the chiropodist to be assessed and am now waiting for a follow-up appoinment. "?" changed my bedroom round for me. He took out my bureau and put my small lounge unit in its place which looks much better and is more practical to house all my vidio films,DVD's,tapes and books and other things so everything is in one place and it looks quite cosy now. "ST" is pleased that the bureau is in the back room so he can keep all his papers and other belongings in.

I looked in on the online house exchanges this evening. Some poeple seem to be asking for the impossible, so i don't expect to get anything on there.

3/7/07... "?" and i went to pick "ST" up for the day. The schools and the town hall are giving "L" the run around for a transfer form so "ST" can go to another school. They are sending her from school to school and back again so as the town hall. So now she is leaving it to next week. "ST" went home this evening.

4/7/07... "?" took me to get my shopping this morning. "?" has got a new mobile phone and got me to register it for him, so that is up and running now. "A" came by this morning, he has got a bad chest infection.This evening after "?" had left i went online for a while.

I phoned Aunt "D" this evening, she is'nt toowell and told me the GP came home to see her, because she might have skin cancer and has got to have a biopsy done.

 5/7/07... This morning "?" went along to see the GP and told him about the chest pains he had last week and the vomiting. The GP told "?" that it was an Angina Attack he was describing. Later, we went to pick "ST" up and he decided to stay over. "?" asked me to do a blood sugar test for him which read 9.6

6/7/07... This morning "?" took me for my appointment with the Diabetic nurse. She wants me to have a colesterol test. While i was there i told the nurse about "?" blood sugar test i done for him, she said he should go along to see the GP as it is a high reading.

When we returned home "ST" as doing some writting. Then i got a few light chores done, then i rested "?" rested most of the day as he felt tired out. Later, we dropped "ST" off home at around 5pm.

On our way home we noticed a sign that stated The Heathway shopping centre will be having a make over, it will take about 5 months to complete and traffic will be diverted for that time., so each time we go to pick "ST" up and take him home we will have to go the long way round as we did last week, it will be a nightmare. "?" left around 9pm and i settled down to watch TV for the evening.

7/7/07... "?" took me to get my weekend shopping, then to pick-up "ST" for the weekend. We all had a peaceful day. "?" left around 6pm. Later, "ST" and i picked a film from Sky Movies and settled down with our sandwiches and watched the film. "A" popped in and out this evening, later "ST" went online while i settled to watch TV for the rest of the evening.

8/7/07... This morning "?" came in for an hour then left. I got the dinner on the go for "ST" and myself and got a couple of chores done while it was cooking. "ST" was writting a letter to Gordon Brown about the state of the country and the Government and his views...lol. he's serious about it too and he did'nt mince his words either...lol and he wants to post the letter too... oh dear!  I said he could'nt post it, he said, he's got free speech...lol.

"?" was late getting back, so i rang "L" to come and pick "ST" up at 8pm. "?" came in at 9:30pm for an hour then left again and i settled down for the night. I have'nt been online for a while myself, mainly because "ST" has been online most of the time.

9/7/07... "?" and i went for our blood tests this morning which both of us had to fast for. "?" should have had his done a couple of weeks ago, so as i had to have mine done i made him have his done too!

When we got home "?" mowed the back and front lawn and i done a little weeding in the back garden. Around mid-day while "?" was resting after working in the garden, i had bad chest and stomache pains and sweating like a pig, it was the Hiatus Hernia started to play up again, it lasted about an hour, i felt so sick, i had over done it. I did'nt do much for this to happen and i had'nt eaten anything that i should'nt have either.

Food wise, i'm having the right foods and trying desperately to keep my weight under control, i have lost a couple of lbs, but not enough to shout about. My blood sugar test is lower than they were at first, but they're still high and need to be much lower.

"?" has got his appointment with the Neurologist in the morning. When he comes in we will be going to pick "ST" up for the day and maybe, if the weather permits we will be going out for a couple of hours, not sure where yet...Best Wishes to one and all and keep well...

Another Busy Week...

Tuesday 26/6/07... this morning "?" and i went to see "L" about "ST" school. "ST" came back with us and on the way home we dropped off at the shop to get a few bits as i had nothing in for him. "?" and "ST" had a lengthy chat about his school. Later, "ST" decided he wanted to stay over, so i let "L" know he was staying.

Wednesday 27/6/07... "ST" is still adamant about not going back to school. The head of the school is aware of the situation and has given "ST" time to think it over about going back to the school, but "ST" wants to change schools.

 <<<Buckingham Palace. I wonder if the Queen wants to exchange her house for mine...lol. Around 5pm we took "ST" home. After "?" had left  about 6:30pm and i had tided round a bit, i went online and put my house in the Council House Exchange Forum.

Thursday 28/6/07... This morning when "?" came in he seemed stressed out and was'nt feeling too good in himself and was getting chest pains and had to use his heart spray and he rested most of the day, by late afternoon he seemed ok. "ST" phoned around 4:30pm and wanted to come round, so we went  to pick him up and he stayed over. "?" left at 6:45pm this evening.

Friday 29/6/07... This morning "?" took me to theopticians so i could have my diabetes eye check done...all is ok there! Later, "?" did'nt feel too good in himself again and used his heart spray again. "L" came by to pick "ST" up around 4:30pm and "?" went home at 6:30pm.

Saturday 30/6/07... This morning when "?" came in he took me to get a few bits for the weekend,then to pick "ST" up for the weekend. After dinner "?" rested in the lounge, he did'nt watch the horse-racing at all today which is most unusual for him as that has been his life long interest, that an the dogs and he always keeps up with whats going on in those circles even if he don't have a bet.

While "?" was resting "ST" and i went to my room. "ST" went on the computer and i watched Mission To Mars on my TV. The afternoon was quite. Later, "?" left around 6:45pm. Then "ST" and i got our sandwiches and settled to watch Dr.Who which i thought was a very good finale. Then we both watched TVfor the rest of the evening.

Sunday 1/7/07... This morning when "?" came in 9:15am and he seemed a lot better in himself today. "?" and "ST" were chatting all morning while i got dinner prepared. "?" left at 11:45am then "ST" and i had our dinner. Once dinner was out the way and tided up,"ST" went online and i got a few bits tided up then settled to watch TV in the lounge. I watched The Diana Concert which i really enjoyed, its the best i've seen for a long while.

"?" came in around 8:30pm then we took "ST" home. We did'nt stay as i wanted to get back to watch the rest of the concert...lol. "?" stayed for half hour then left and i watched the rest of the concert ( in peace...lol.) Best Wishes to you all and i hope you have a great week ahead of you.
